BLUEsat is a non-profit student organisation at a public university. The BLUEsat project exists on an extremely tight budget and depend on the generosity we receive from sponsors and associates. We welcome both in-kind and cash sponsorships. Donations of components and materials are extremely useful to us in the building of BLUEsat, and the use of testing facilities will greatly help us to qualify BLUEsat for launch. However as BLUEsat gets closer to completion our need for monetary donations will increase dramatically. The launch of BLUEsat is the single largest cost to the entire project. Current launch costs are US$12,000 per kilogram or higher. We are currently weighing around the 13Kg mark. In addition to this there are significant insurance and transport costs. We are unable to meet these costs ourselves and depend on the generosity of our sponsors and associates to get BLUEsat into space.
