The BLUEsat project is a student run project of UNSW. The BLUEsat project's Engineering Teams are headed by the Chief Technical Officer (CTO), and the Operations Division, headed by the Chief Operations Officer (COO). The President of BLUEsat is responsible for direction of the organization, and instructs his or her COO and CTO.

The Executive Division and the President
The role of the President of BLUEsat is to see that the organization is constantly working towards achieving its goals and fulfilling its mission statement. The President, acting as Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.) oversees the Executive Division, which comprises of the President, the Chief Operations Officer (C.O.O.), and the Chief Technical Officer (C.T.O.). He or she consults with the C.O.O. and C.T.O. and is ultimately responsible to the Steering Committee regarding direction and actions of BLUEsat. The President may advise or receive advice from the C.O.O. or C.T.O. regarding specific matters under the management of either.
